ABOUT NATIVE RACING
My wife, Brittany Hernandez, and I Larry Hernandez Jr, tribal citizen of San Manuel Band of Mission Indians, are building a Native American - owned racing team with tribal youth citizens, as well as non-tribal citizens and adults.
Dealing with generational curses, I have experienced sobriety for more than seven years and counting, in hopes for a better future for myself and my family. "Our goal...is to put kids on a better path to a greater future."
Along with stopping the cycle of addiction, Hernandez has a vision of being the first Native American- owned racing team to ever go pro.
Before starting my career in racing, I was an intern for around five months with Tribal Family Services and received my mental health first aid license. I have used my training to teach a new generation of Tribal youth and non-tribal citizens, providing awareness and guidance to the community.
